Don B. Felio

Don Felio provides consulting services for companies and investors in the international energy sector in the areas of strategy, business development, investment projects and government relations (U.S and non-U.S.).

 

Don served in numerous management positions with Amoco in both the domestic and international petroleum exploration and production arenas. Positions included Manager, Offshore Exploitation (Gulf of Mexico); Director, International New Ventures and VP, Amoco Overseas Exploration Company. He was a member of the Corporate Cross Sector Strategy Committee (upstream and downstream), Regional Management Committee (Europe, Latin America and Far East Region), Research Advisory Committee and the International Natural Gas Leadership Team. He led Amoco's participation in the energy committees of the FTAA (free trade) process. After leaving Amoco, Don was Sr. VP at Platte River Associates, the leading developer and marketer of basin modeling software.

 

Don provides valuable advice for investors in the petroleum sector through his knowledge of the petroleum business and technology. He has advised small to medium sized energy companies on various aspects of international business and companies wishing to market products to the petroleum industry. Areas of consults include exploration and production, technology, international natural gas, international contracts and work program proposals.

 

An effective speaker, Don has spoken to conferences and organizations in the U.S. and abroad. He is co-editor of the book International Oil and Gas Ventures: a Business Perspective. He has served on the Advisory Board of the International Business Circle and the Development Board of the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) of the University of Colorado.
